Phøn - The Iconoclast

The Iconoclast blends orchestral hits, melodies, and textures inspired by old cinema. Drum loops, one-shots, percussion-style rhythms, and the synths and SFX Phøn uses in every beat.

Drum loops range from clean and controlled to dirty and crushed. Hi-hats and cymbals stay flexible, easy to layer onto any groove. Orchestral one-shots hit with weight — violin, cello, harp, french horn, and celeste bringing a modern take on old-school cinematic textures. Percussion loops are built to be chopped, warped, and pushed through effects.

All drums were recorded on a Gretsch USA Maple kit (10"x7" • 12"x8" • 14"x14" • 20"x16"), with snares courtesy of a Ludwig Supraphonic 14"x5", Pearl President Phenolic 14"x5.5", and Slingerland Professional 14"x6.5".
