Crate Classics Vol. 1 is a boom bap production kit made from the ground up using Marco Polo's MPC. Every day for a month Marco Polo created a new beat and turned it into a 16-pad program: drums, bass, chops, chords, FX and vocals for that beat, all mapped and ready to play the second you load it. Hit the pads and the whole record is under your hands. 25 kits, 25 sequences, 25 finished demo projects, 400 samples, 77–100 BPM.
The drums are Marco’s. The bass, chords, leads and FX were played and recorded from his Roland Juno-106, Moog Model D, Moog Matriarch and Moog Grandmother, then processed in the box. No stock presets.
You also get Marco Polo's original MPC project folders. Open the actual sessions, see how the kits are mapped, how the sequences are arranged and how each demo was created. Swap a kick, re-chop a loop, lift a pattern into your own project, or strip a demo down and cook it your way.
Even if you're not working the MPC or MPC Software, all 25 Kit WAV files are available for this amazing project allowing you to throw these into any DAW or Drum Machine

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using Crate Classics Vol. 1 (the "Expansion"), you agree to the following terms.
1. ROYALTY-FREE LICENSE
All individual sounds, drum hits, samples, instruments, and other sound-design elements included in this Expansion are provided royalty-free for use in your original musical productions.
You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use these sounds in personal and commercial music projects, including recordings, albums, instrumentals, film, television, advertising, and other media.
No additional royalties, publishing splits, or producer credits are required for the authorized use of these sounds.
2. DEMO TRACKS & SEQUENCES
The Expansion includes demonstration beats, musical arrangements, and sequences created by Marco Polo to showcase its sounds and creative possibilities.
These completed demos are provided for demonstration and educational purposes only.
You may study, modify, and use the included sequences and individual sounds as creative starting points for your own original productions.
However, you may not:
- Export, bounce, or record a complete demo beat and commercially release or distribute it as your own production.
- Upload the included demos, whether unchanged or with only minor alterations, to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, BeatStars, or any other music distribution or licensing platform.
- Sell, lease, sublicense, or otherwise claim ownership of the original demo compositions or arrangements.
The sounds are yours to create with. The completed demo beats are not yours to redistribute.
3. REDISTRIBUTION & RESALE
You may not resell, share, redistribute, repackage, or sublicense the Expansion or its individual sounds as standalone sample packs, drum kits, instrument libraries, or competing sound products.
The royalty-free license applies to using the sounds within original creative works, not to distributing the source material itself.
4. OWNERSHIP
All intellectual property rights in the Expansion, including its original sound recordings, demo compositions, artwork, branding, and packaging, remain with Frank's Drum Set Inc. and/or their respective rights holders.
Your purchase grants a license to use the material under these terms. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying content.
5. LICENSE VIOLATIONS
Any use of the Expansion outside the permissions granted in this agreement constitutes a violation of the license and may result in termination of your rights to use the Expansion, without limiting any other remedies available under applicable law.
6. CREATIVE FREEDOM
Crate Classics Vol. 1 was built to inspire creativity.
Chop the sounds. Layer them. Rearrange them. Process them. Make something entirely your own.
Be creative. Make great music. Just don't release the demo beats as your own.
