Why we don't do free sample packs
Aug 5, 2024 (Updated on Aug 9, 2024)
Over the years, we've distributed sounds for industry heavyweights and producers like Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Jake One, The Rucker Collective, Beat Butcha, Cookin Soul, and more. With two decades of building connections and sourcing original sounds, The Drum Broker has secured its position as a premium brand offering top-quality products. We pioneered a business model that many sites now emulate and improve upon. As stewards in a saturated market, our mission has been to maintain consistency and quality in the "sample space" for our customers. Our Sample Library has led to thousands of placements and appeared in countless classics.
We've distributed several free drum kits and sample packs, resulting in hundreds of thousands of downloads. These marketing experiments either didn't work as expected or weren't necessary. We quickly realized our core audience doesn't prioritize free offerings. We cater to a premium market of professional hip hop producers, beatmakers, and hobbyists seeking high-quality sounds.
The free sample pack has traditionally been a way to collect email addresses for marketing automation. However, we prefer to earn your hard-earned money through our reputation and the quality of our products.
That doesn't mean we won't drop a free pack here or there for the supporters.
